To Nothing
I’m sinking down into the darkness
Consumed by it.
Reminded of the inevitably
Of death, and how inconsequential
Everything before it can be.
I’m sinking into the darkness
Losing sight of all the light.
The stars fade
Leaving nothing,
I am nothing
As I sink into the darkness.
Nothingness stretches forward and back
No future
No history
Empty and alone
Nowhere.
One day from nothing
A star will be born
Created and lit afire
To shine
To guide
To be.
From nothing is born something
And to nothing we all return.
Good verse. For the record, I don’t believe we come from nothing or that we return there. Just my spiritual belief in eternal sentient energy.

Thank you so much! I too, don’t believe we come from nothing in the traditional sense of the word. Rather nothing as the space between “things” like that tiny space between when you breath in and out, it is a space of pure potential love and energy. I see it more as no-“thing” but really it’s everything. If that makes sense, there’s a peak into my own spiritual beliefs.

You and I have a lot of similar thoughts, I believe.
Have you read “Conversations with God Book 1”?

I think we do have similar thoughts. I haven’t read it yet, but it is sitting on my bookshelf waiting for me to read.

It was the book that changed things for me. It is not (at least, no longer) the “everything” book for me, but it got me started and I have been moving ever since.
I really loved “Friendship with God”.
